September 23rd

I'm fresh of the Business Entities Seminar -- 16 hours of Partnerships, Corporations, S-Corporations, LLC's & LLP's. At this point, it felt a bit repetitive but I'm sure something will be gained from it. Next up is Ethics and Individual Income Tax. I've already had 8 hours of Farm Planning and Pitfalls. I generally end up with 45 - 55 hours in a year -- more than a full week or work.

Thanks for putting up with me being gone. The answering machine was the afternoon secretary! Thanks to Joy for holding down the office in the mornings.

It's good to be a small town girl -- that metro traffic is the pits. The comings and goings from the Airport were entertaining.

September

The first day of fall is approaching -- so summer is over, it's time to start thinking of fall. Our Summer here at the office has been productive. The never-ending cleaning, painting and re-arranging is in progress.

Floors have new coats (4) of varnish, a couple of rooms have fresh coats of paint and lastly, the exterior trim is about to be spruced up also. At least the ground floor level. There is also a fall landscaping project in the works. It never ends -- the "money pit" is in constant need of something.

I have also began to work on year end tax planning -- I've already seen several farmers for the preliminary pre tax appointment. I will be attending a 2 day conference this week -- it is focused on entities -- specifially, Partnerships, Corporations, LLC's and LLP's. Many of the features/provisions/treats of the Economic Stimulous Package --- apply to all entity levels, it should be interesting.

Road Construction is in full mode -- it's noisy, dirty and well distracting. It is my hope they finish on schedule. They have far to go.
